I was born in Boyne City and love being a part of my small Northern Michigan community. I have a deep passion for the environment and this has led me on an academic journey all over the world. I acquired my associate of arts degree from North Central Michigan College and later won the Robert Emmet Society Scholarship that led me to study abroad at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Galway, Ireland. After Ireland, I was looking for the best college that would fit my ideals and I discovered and fell in love with Green Mountain College in Vermont.
After receiving the Rachel Carson Scholarship from Green Mountain, I made the move with my husband to the vibrant town of Poultney, VT. Green Mountain College grants this scholarship to selected students with an interest in the sciences who are preparing to lead communities and the world to a more sustainable future.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College, rated #1 in sustainability in the nation. I am planning on continuing my environmental education and pursuing a master’s degree in the near future. In the meantime, I am finding ways to implement green practices as the office manager and enjoy helping others go green. Check out my blog posts for more tips and practices on how to incorporate green initiatives in your office.
